Chinese Ambassador-Designate H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong Presented Copy of Letter of Credence

On 6 August 2019, H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong, the Ambassador-Designate of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho presented the Copy of Letter of Credence to Hon. Lesego Makgothi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho. Officials from the Foreign Ministry including Principal Secretary Ms. Mamonyane Bohloko, Director of Asia & Pacific Directorate Mr. Matete Nena and Deputy Chief of Protocol Ms. Baholo Makolana as well as the Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Song Changqing attended the event.

H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong conveyed to Hon. Makgothi the warm greetings and good wishes from H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China. He commended that the China-Lesotho relationship has maintained a sound momentum of development over the 25 years since the resumption of the diplomatic relations. He said that the Chinese Government attached great importance to China-Lesotho relations and it was his great honor to assume the post of Chinese Ambassador to Lesotho, and he was committed to working together with the Lesotho Government and all other sides to further strengthen the China-Lesotho friendship and cooperation.

Hon. Makgothi extended on behalf of the government of Lesotho warm welcome to H.E. Mr. Lei. He spoke highly of the China-Lesotho Friendship and expressed his full confidence in a brighter future of the bilateral cooperation. Hon. Makgothi assured that the Foreign Ministry would provide all necessary support to H.E. Mr. Lei and work together to promote the China-Lesotho practical cooperation onto a new height.
