On September 28th, 2018, Mr. Song Changqing, Chargé d'Affaires ad Interim and Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Lesotho, received an interview broadcast live by Ultimate Radio on the 69th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China as well as China-Africa and China-Lesotho relations.

Answering the questions of the presenter, Mr. Song Changqing introduced the glorious history of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the remarkable achievements of China in all fields after the founding and especially during the 40 years of reform and opening-up, as well as the challenges China is still facing in current development. When talking about the bilateral relation, Mr. Song Changqing said that China-Lesotho relation is a fine example of state-to-state relationship based on mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and common development. China and Lesotho are both developing countries with similar historical experiences, similar positions on international and regional issues, as well as common aspiration for social and economic development. The Chinese side wishes to continue to work hand in hand with the Lesotho government and friends from all walks of life, to fully implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit and strengthen the bilateral cooperation for more achievements, turning on a new chapter for China-Lesotho relations.
