On 6-8 August 2018, a Chinese youth delegation, led by H.E. Ambassador Ou Boqian, Vice President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), visited Lesotho. During its stay in Lesotho, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Hon. Halebonoe Sets'abi, held a symposium with relative governmental officials and youth representatives of Lesotho, visited and donated a batch of daily necessities to Maseru Children Village. H.E. Sun Xianghua,Ambassador of China to Lesotho,Hon. Phamotse, Minister of Youth and Sports of Lesotho, participated in some of the events.

It was the first time that Chinese youth delegation visited Lesotho, with an aim to promote exchanges and friendship between Chinese and Basotho youth and consolidate the public support on bilateral ties. Through this visit, the mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and Basotho youth has been further enhanced.
