On 29th June 2018, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho H.E. Dr. Sun Xianghua attended the hand-over ceremony of some office equipments donated by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Senate of the Kingdom of Lesotho. Hon. Mamonaheng Mokitimi, President of the Senate, Hon. Khoabane L. K. Theko, Senator & Chief Whip, Mr. Selete Molete, Clerk of the Senate, staffs of the Senate and the mainstream local media were also at the occasion.
In his remarks, Ambassador Sun indicated that China and Lesotho enjoy a profound traditional friendship, and the Embassy wishes to work hand in hand with people from all fields of Lesotho including the Senate to deepen the bilateral friendship. He believed that the office appliances will enhance the services of the senate for the national and social development of Lesotho.
Hon. Mamonaheng Mokitimi and her Chief Whip Hon. Khoabane L. K. Theko appreciated the generous donation from China. They said the Senate will continue to promote the friendship between two countries and make good use of these donated office equipments to serve the Basotho people.
These donated office supplies include some desktops, laptops, projector and scanner. The LTV, LENA and mainstream newspapers reported this ceremony.
