| Webmaster: Here is the remark by the Chinese Ambassador H.E. Prof. on the signing the Protocol between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho on Sending a New Chinese Medical Team to Work in Lesotho on 31 March, 2009.
Your Hon. Acting Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Lesotho Ntate Mothetjoa Metsing, Ntate PS of Health and Social Welfare, Distinguished guests, Ladies and gentlemen, Today it is my great pleasure, on behalf of Chinese Government, to sign the Protocol between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho on Sending a New Chinese Medical Team to Work in Lesotho. It is another climax in respect of our bilateral relations. Over the recent years, the Sino-Lesotho relations has witnessed a steady development characterized by numerous bilateral cooperation, especially on medical exchange and cooperation. In the past 12 years, China has sent 6 dispatches about 100 professional doctors to practice in Lesotho’s Elizabeth Queen II Hospital, to heal the wounded and rescue the dying. With experienced skill and noble medical ethics, they have won the compliments and respect from all walks of life of Basotho. And their lofty deeds are the best answer to the solid and close Sino-Lesotho relations. I want to pay my tribute to our respectable Chinese doctors for their contributions for the friendship between our two peoples. And I also hope our bilateral relations and cooperation will flourish to a new height of greatness in future. Thank you. |
