On February 27, 2006, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with visiting chairperson of the Hungarian National Assembly Szili in Beijing. Both sides exchanged opinions on China-Hungary relations as well as issues of common interest. The Hungarian side reiterated that it would continue to adhere to the one-China principle.
