On November 29 2005, Chairman Jia Qinglin of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) met with Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar in the Great Hall of the People. Jia stressed that China pursues a foreign policy of building a good-neighbor relationship and partnership with its neighbors. China and Mongolia are two developing nations linked together by the long borders. The two countries have wide common interest in maintaining the peace and the stability of the region and achieving common development and prosperity, and enjoy unique advantages in carrying out exchanges and cooperation. Both sides should enhance mutual trust and understanding in the spirit of good-neighbor relationship and partnership. The two countries can learn from each other and encourage each other in the process of national construction. Both countries should strengthen cooperation, promote the stable and long-term development of bilateral relationship, and achieve peaceful co-existence, common development, mutual benefits and win-win results. Jia said that the CPPCC is willing to further strengthen the friendly exchange and cooperation with the State Great Hural of Mongolia at all levels and contribute to the friendship between the two countries and peoples. Enkhbayar said, 'my visit to China is a complete success. I have witnessed the development of China and reached broad consensus with Chinese leaders on further developing bilateral cooperation. This has further enhanced our determination and confidence to develop the relationship with China. The Mongolian side will work together with the Chinese side to implement the consensus and advance mutually beneficial cooperation.' Enkhbayar pointed out, 'the Mongolian side attaches great importance to the important role CPPCC plays in the political life of China and is willing to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the State Great Hural and the CPPCC.' |
