On June 13, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui met with the delegation led by Stephen Rademaker, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, which came to China for the China-US arms control and non-proliferation consultations.

Zhang made positive remarks on the current China-US relations and exchanged opinions with Rademaker on such issues as the non-proliferation, the US plans for missile defense and the Iranian nuclear issue. China and the US should maintain dialogue on major international and regional issues and conduct frequent consultations on arms control and non-proliferation, which is in the interests of both countries, according to Zhang.
