Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong Paid a Courtesy Call on Hon. Speaker of Lesotho National Assembly

On 15 August 2019, H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho paid a courtesy call on Hon. Sephiri Enoch Motanyane, Speaker of the National Assembly of Lesotho. Political Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Song Changqing and the Clerk of the National Assembly Mr. Lebohang Fine Maema were present at the meeting.

H.E. Mr. Lei conveyed to Hon. Motanyane warm greetings and good wishes from H.E. Mr. Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress (NPC) of China. He pointed out that China attached great importance to the development of China-Lesotho relations, and wished to work together with the Lesotho side to strengthen the exchanges between the two countries' legislatures and further consolidate the bilateral friendship.

Hon. Motanyane extended warm welcome to H.E. Mr. Lei. He spoke highly of the China-Lesotho traditional friendship and appreciated China for the generous assistances to Lesotho over the years. He said the National Assembly would lend full support to Mr. Lei, and work together to advance the bilateral relations.

After the meeting, Hon. Motanyane showed H.E. Mr. Lei around the China-aid National Assembly Building.
