Charge D'Affairs a.i.Song Changqing Attended the Handing -over Ceremony of Community Policing Kit and Donation to Lesotho Ministry of Police and Public Safety

On 27November 2018, Mr. Song Changqing, Charge D'Affairs a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Lesotho, attended the Handing -over Ceremony of Community Policing Kit and Donation to the Lesotho Ministry of Police and Public Safety. Hon. Mampho Mokhele, Minister of Police and Public Safety, Commissioner of Police (COMPOL) Holomo Molibeli and officials from related departments were present at the Ceremony.

                                                                 

In his remarks, Mr. Song indicated that China attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Lesotho in law enforcement and public security. Earlier this year the Minister of Police Hon. Mokhele successfully paid an official visit to China, during which she had fruitful discussions on the subject of safeguarding public safety. The Chinese government is committed to deepening the capacity building cooperation with Lesotho Police and will donate a fingerprint examination lab to the Ministry of Police and Public Safety in the near future. Mr. Song encouraged the police officials to make good use of all the Community Policing Kit and Donation to maintain public security and safeguard the lives and property of Chinese nationals in Lesotho.

                                                                  

Hon. Mampho Mokhele and Commissioner of Police (COMPOL) Holomo Molibelispoke highly of the China-Lesothocooperation in law enforcement and public security. They thanked for the assistance from the Chinese Embassy and pledged that the Lesotho Police will continue to protect the safety of the Chinese Community in Lesotho and deepen the China-Lesotho friendship.
