Chinese Embassy held Reception for Lesotho Police and Immigration Officers to Conclude Chinese Language Training and for Seeing off Officers to Attend Forensic Science Training in China

On 18 June 2018, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Lesotho held a reception for Lesotho police and immigration officers to conclude Chinese language training and for seeing off police officers to attend forensic science training in China.  Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Lesotho H.E. Dr. Sun Xianghua, Minister of Police Hon. Mampho Mokhele, Police Commissioner Molibeli, Political Counsellor of the Embassy Mr. Song Changqing, senior police officers, Director of Confucius classroom at Machabeng International College Mr. Yu Ji, trainees of language training class and police officers to attend forensic science training in China were present at the reception.

36 language trainees from police and immigration departments were awarded with certificates of completion from Chinese Ambassador, Minister of Police, Police Commissioner and Counsellor Song, with 6 trainees winning the trophies for excellent performance. Representative of the language trainees showed what they have learnt confidently and expressed their hope to have more opportunities to learn Chinese language and serve Chinese community with improved language skills.

In his remarks, Ambassador Sun Xianghua highly praised the positive attitude, hard work and satisfied performance of the officers of the 1st Chinese Language Training Class. He pointed out that police officers bear the responsibility to maintain security of the society and protect Chinese citizens and their legitimate rights and interests, and said the Embassy will continue the effort to deepen the cooperation with Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) by supporting Lesotho police officers to learn Chinese language and improve their capacity, thus upgrading the bilateral friendship of our two countries to a new level.

Minister of Police Hon. Mampho Mokhele, Police Commissioner Molibeli thanked the support of Chinese Embassy to Lesotho government and Basotho people in their speeches, and encouraged the language trainees to further their language learning and serve Chinese community with higher performance. Meanwhile, they required the 15 police officers to attend the Forensic Science Training in China to cherish the opportunity and complete their training with high standard and serve LMPS with improved capability.
