Ambassador Sun Xianghua Unveiled the 1st Chinese Language Training Class for Lesotho Police and Immigration Officers

On 4th May 2018, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Dr. Sun Xianghua unveiled the 1st Chinese Language Training Class for Lesotho Police and Immigration Officers. Mr. Khothatso Tsooana, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Police and Public Safety attended the opening ceremony together with headmaster of Machabeng College, director of Confucius Classroom, representatives from Lesotho Chinese Community and Security Cooperation Centre, police and immigration officers and journalists from the media.

                                                                   

In his remarks, Ambassador Sun expressed his appreciation to police and Immigration officers for their effort to help Chinese citizens and protect their legitimate rights and interests. Ambassador Sun stated that language is the bridge of communication, being able to communicate in Chinese will surely benefit the officers to better perform their duties and help Chinese community. He wished the trainees success in their later Chinese language study and hoped that they can explore more of Chinese culture and promote China-Lesotho friendship and the bilateral relations.

                                                                       

Mr. Tsooana extended his gratitude to Chinese Embassy for all its help and support to Lesotho police departments and he encouraged the officers to cherish this opportunity. By studying hard and mastering Chinese language, they can better serve and protect Chinese communities in Lesotho.

                                                                  

The language class will last for one and a half month with a total number of 30 trainees including 22 police officers and 8 immigration officers.
