H.E. Ambassador Sun Xianghua Inspected Demonstration Base of Mushroom Cultivation

On 30 January 2018, H.E. Dr. Sun Xianghua, Ambassador of China to Lesotho, inspected the demonstration base of the China-aid Juncao (Mushroom & Grass) Cultivation Technical Cooperation Project. Mr. Ma Guoliang, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy, accompanied him.

Ambassador Sun inspected the workshops for mushroom production and the nursery for grass planting. Professor Chen Kehua, head of expert team of the project, introduced the experiment and production process and reported their work and future plan in Lesotho. Ambassador Sun also had a warm conversation with Chinese experts and Lesotho technician of the project.

Ambassador Sun commended the experts for their hard working and pragmaticism, and encouraged them to, based on deeper understanding of the local conditions, push forward the project, with which they should cooperate closely with the local technicians to ensure complete technology transfer, train farmers in large scale to make them benefit from the cooperation project, and establish a plan to make sure that, after the demonstration project concludes, mushroom and grass cultivation can be undertook by the Lesotho side independently and benefit Basotho people sustainably.
