| How to Apply for Chinese Government Scholarship |

| I. The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Lesotho collaborates wtih National Manpower Development Secratariat of the Govenrment of Lesotho (NMDS) for scholarship application. Application season starts in January and ends in late April each year. During this period, applicants can contact (by mail, telephone or come to the Embassy in person) the Embassy and NMDS to register. As soon as the Embassy receives scholarship quota from China, the Embassy will inform NMDS to prepare for a joint selection from those who have registered. The courses for Basotho students are fully open. Upon selection, applicants can choose desired universities and majors from a reference book provided by the Embassy. II. Documents to be prepared to complete scholarship application 1. A formal letter or note from the government of Lesotho (National Manpower Development Secretariat); 2. Application form; 3. Physical examination form and blood test report (two copies of each, originals shall be kept by the applicants and be taken to China); 4. Diplomas and degree certificates (two copies of each); 5. Score records (two copies of each); 6. And two recommendation letters from two professors.
A. Application form and physical examination form will be provided by the Embassy; B. Information about academies of higher learning in China and courses they offer is available at the http://www.csc.edu.cn or provided by the Embassy upon request. C. Deadline of the application is April 20. |
