The Kingdom of Lesotho is an enclave country in Southern Africa, blessed with scenic splendor and distinctive produce and renowned as Kingdom in the sky. Over the recent years, industrious and kind Basotho people have actively explored the development path suited to their own conditions, scored admirable achievements in the fields of social economic development and national construction, and played an active role in promoting regional peace, stability and development. Chinese government and people have appreciated all these and sincerely wish the Lesotho Government and people fresh and greater achievements in future development.

Despite of vast geographic distance, the friendship between our two peoples boasts a long history. Tracing back to the 1950th-1960th, Chinese people have then extended sympathy and support to Basotho people's lofty cause of national liberation struggle, providing a solid foundation to Sino-Lesotho friendship. Since the resumption of the diplomatic relations, the Sino-Lesotho relations has enjoyed healthy and smooth development, yielded a fruitful cooperation in politic, economy, education, culture and etc.. As envoy of friendship to Lesotho assumed by China, I will work tirelessly with my colleagues to continuously and actively promote the Sino-Lesotho friendly exchanges and various cooperation, thus push the bilateral relations to a new high.
